I earned a Masters in Social Welfare at UC Berkeley in 1998 and have been licensed as an Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2004. I have worked in non-profit settings with diverse populations including teens and families and in private practice with adults a couples since 1998. In 2005, I completed a two year, post-graduate training program at the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley. I have extensive experience working with individuals and couples and use literature, training, and consultation to inform my practice. I have been trained in multiple theories and disciplines including psychodynamic therapy, brief therapeutic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), mindfulness, and others. My approach is to start where my client(s) is and use whatever skills or training is best suited to meet his/her/their needs and to include my clients in developing our treatment plan and in ongoing treatment approaches.
